Follow the steps below to hide folders permanently in windows:

1. First, Do a search for Command Prompt on your windows PC and click the result.

2. Type the command below on the command prompt screen to navigate to the hidden items location and press Enter:

cd C:\Users\admin\Desktop\Files

Note: You need to replace the path after cd with the path of the file or folder you want to remain hidden.

3. Type the following command and press Enter:

attrib +h +s +r "folder name"

Remember to replace  "folder name" with the name of the folder that you want to hide. Quotation marks are only necessary when there are spaces in the name.

That's all, your folder or file is now completely hidden on your computer. Incase you need to make hidden folder visible, follow the steps below.

While in Command Prompt type the following command and press Enter:

attrib -h -s -r "folder name"

Final Note: You can view hidden folders by typing the cmd command “dir /AH”.
