How to Reset Wemo Smart Plug
You can reset your Wemo Smart Plug by pressing and holding down the power button for 5 seconds while it is plugged in, or by using the Wemo App.
Method 1: Using the Power Button
- First, remove any devices plugged into your Wemo and unplug the Wemo from the power outlet.
- Next, press and hold down the power button on the Wemo device and plug it back in.
- Continue to press and hold the power button down for 5 seconds. After this time, the status light on your Wemo device will begin flashing orange.
- Finally, release the power button after the status light begins flashing orange.
The status light on your Wemo will flash orange and white to indicate that the reset was successful.
Method 2: Using the Wemo App
- Open the Wemo app on your smartphone and log into your account.
- Next, from the devices list, tap on Edit at the top-left corner (for Android) or top-right corner (for iOS) of the screen.
- Select your Wemo Smart Plug, and on the Edit screen, tap on Reset Options.
- Finally, choose Factory Restore.
If you don’t want to factory reset your Wemo Smart Plug, you can choose to clear Personalized Info. This option will remove any custom names, stored rules, or any data stored on the Wemo Smart Plug.
